OUR STORY

The Black Currency, established on July 14th, 2020, was born out of the vision of Brooklyn natives Kwame Egerton II and Ackeem Kipp, who sought to pioneer a platform dedicated to fostering the next generation of minority millionaires through the twin pillars of financial literacy and emotional intelligence.

Embracing the transformative power of media, we employ a multifaceted approach to engage a diverse audience. Leveraging captivating videos, thought-provoking podcasts, informative webinars, and dynamic social media content, we endeavor to democratize financial literacy, making it accessible, relatable, and enjoyable for all.

Central to our ethos is a deep belief in the strength of community. By curating networking events, fostering vibrant discussion forums, and spearheading mentorship programs, we cultivate a supportive ecosystem where individuals, families, and businesses can forge meaningful connections and collaborate towards shared financial goals.

At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to tangible impact. We gauge our success not merely by metrics, but by the positive transformations witnessed in the lives of those we serve. Empowering individuals and communities alike to seize control of their financial destinies, we strive to dismantle systemic barriers and empower dreams, one informed decision at a time.
