The Black Currency, founded on July 14th, 2020, was created by Brooklyn natives, Kwame Egerton II and Ackeem Kipp to serve as a platform to create the next generation of minority millionaires through financial literacy and emotional intelligence. Started after the murder of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, The Black Currency shifted focus from protests to financial empowerment.

The Black Currency believes in controlling what you can control. Wealth and financial empowerment will put minority communities in the drivers seat and allow them to have the financial freedom and influence to shape their present and future.
